KICKING DOWN THE DOOR AGAINST CHILD ABUSE 2017 - 2020 Yuouths in Action For Attitude Behavioral Change
Sierra Leone (YAABC-SL) is a non political and non tribal social movement, working towards the achievement of postive social change in the behaviors of all SierraLeones, as the foundation for a opositive social change and developement in Sierra Leone, starting with Kono District.
Our attitude have to do with our manners, our feelings, which push us to act or take a particular action in rder to satisfy our emotions.
Our behaviors have to do with our reactions to our attuides, the actions we take as a result of our feelings or emotions in other words our attitudes.
Our attitudes and behaviours as Sierra Leoneans is not good towards the developement of our country, and in effect, is not helpingus in achieving much success as a nation. The attitude of hat redness, disunity, tribalism regionalism corruption, sexual violence and abuse, the attachment of social ideological meaning to specify that one is forbidden from wearing a color of his or her choice in certain areas; and the loss of integrity by the very people who were to be role models and mentors for us. Our nation decide to change our attitudes and behaviors for good.
If we are claiming that this generation has or about to fail us, then if our generation is to succeed, the only means for us, is a change in attitudes and behaviors. The day we begin to change our attitudes is the day we will begin to accept each others point of view, belonging, opinion, gender, thats the very day we will begin to make way for development to come in our communities. The day we begin to love, respect, value and care for one and other, I assure you that would be the day we accept the very social change which this country has been praying for to see.
The general aim is to see postive socal change in the attudes and behaviors of all Sierra Leoneans towards national developmentand increase the sprit of patriotism for a better Serra Leone.

witness.org | Countless atroccommitted during the course of Sierra Leone’s devastating, drawn- out conflict from 1991-2001. With civilians being the primary target of attack, women were particularly vulnerable to violence during the civil war. AFRC and RUF forces regularly kidnapped girls and young women, forcing them into sexual servitude for the forces, or into marriage with commanders. Women young and old were beaten, mutilated, raped, and killed by child soldiers and their adult commanders. For the rebels, sexual violence became a weapon to be used against the civilian populations, as a demonstration of its power and impunity.
